Last updated 30 September 2026. This page explains how affiliate links work on this website.
What is an affiliate link?
Some links on this website are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a product or service, I may earn a commission from the company. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same.
How I decide what to recommend
I only recommend tools that I believe are genuinely useful to the people who read this blog. Where I have not used a tool myself, I will say so. A commission never decides what goes into a post or how I describe a product, and I will tell you about limitations as well as strengths.
How affiliate links are marked
Posts that contain affiliate links include a short note near the first link, and the links themselves are marked as sponsored in the page code, as search engines ask.
Independence
The views on this website are my own. Nothing here is written on behalf of, or represents the views of, any employer or other organisation.
Changes and questions
The companies I work with may change over time, and I will update this page when they do. If you have a question about a recommendation or about this policy, please get in touch through the contact page.
